Returning Home: A New Chapter for Heart Centred Consulting

After seven years with Brave Technology Coop, I am preparing to step out of my role as Chief Operating Officer and return home — to myself, my practice, and to the land that holds me: K’emk’emeláy̓ — the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) name for what is now called Vancouver.

Working with Brave has been one of the most challenging, stretching, and enlivening experiences of my life. Together, we’ve navigated systems, built new cooperative governance models, and carried the complexity of technology design in harm reduction as collective liberation work with both grace and grit.

It’s been a deep and humbling honour.

Now, the time has come to take all that I’ve learned and re-root it in my own work — to relaunch Heart Centred Consulting with clarity, presence, and purpose.

The Work Ahead: Moving in Right Relationship

Heart Centred Consulting isn’t new — but this next chapter is.

I’m returning with stronger bones, wiser muscles, and a clearer sense of what it means to move at the pace of trust, steward systems change with care, and hold liberation as a practice — not a promise.

As I re-open this practice, I’m guided by key themes that shape not just how I work, but why.

We Move at the Pace of Trust

But we move.

Trust is not a luxury — it’s the rhythm that holds relational work. My commitment is to move in ways that honour people’s readiness, while still moving forward with courage and clarity.

Liberation is a Practice, Not a Promise

I hold space for teams, leaders, and institutions to be in practice — not performance — around justice, equity, and transformation. The work is messy. It’s ongoing. It’s worth it.

We Shift Systems — With Care, Not Chaos

I help organizations bring order to complexity, not confusion to change. This is about redesigning structures, roles, and governance with integrity, not urgency.

I’m not here to force transformation. I’m here to steward it — with humility, accountability, and an understanding that all change is relational.

Help is on the Way

The spirit of this practice is simple:
Not saviorism. Not superiority. But skilled support rooted in care.

I come alongside movements and organizations to help them move through their stuck places, clarify their path, and build cultures of trust and courage.

• Anyone seeking to develop funding models without losing their soul

There will be more to come, including offerings, workshops, and ways to work together.

But for now, this is a moment of return.
To land.
To purpose.
To myself.
