Selected Facilitation & Strategy Projects

We support equity-driven systems change through strategic design, facilitation, and innovation. Below are select projects, research collaborations, and leadership examples that reflect our work in the field.

  • Brave Technology Cooperative (Canada, US, UK): Co-founded and led operational and strategic design for a tech-enabled harm reduction co-op that reversed 500+ overdoses. Scaled global partnerships, raised over $12M in funding, and implemented trauma-informed systems across internal governance and public service delivery.
  • Brave BIO Wristband: Led co-design, pilot testing, and refinement of a wearable overdose detection device in partnership with Midlands University researchers, UK health authorities and people who use drugs. Secured £600K in funding and moved from prototype to field-tested innovation.
  • Here4U Scotland: Led adaptation and launch of a virtual overdose prevention app in Aberdeen. In partnership with Digital Lifelines, Scotland; Aberdeen Alcohol and Drugs Agency, and Sterling University; managed implementation, addressed digital access barriers, and integrated it into local health systems.
  • Housing & Harm Reduction (CA, BC, ON): Supported alignment between housing providers, peer workers, and health authorities to improve overdose response in supportive housing contexts.
  • Indigenous Governance & Technology Integration: Facilitated cross-sector co-design sessions with Indigenous communities to pilot overdose prevention tools grounded in traditional governance models.
  • Crisis Response Innovation (UK, US, Canada): Led discovery and service mapping with frontline workers and emergency responders across multiple regions to improve crisis response systems.
  • Equity in Youth Crisis Response: Facilitated consensus-building for a trauma-informed, community-based youth intervention model with cross-agency accountability.
  • Policy Alignment & Governance Strategy: Led collaborative reviews with nonprofit boards to address values-practice gaps and enable cultural and structural transformation.

Research & Policy Leadership

  • Overdose Detection Technology Innovators & Researchers Consortium: Co-founded and convened this multinational collaboration of public health officials, technologists, harm reduction leaders, and researchers across Canada, the US, and UK. Produced peer-reviewed publications, ethical frameworks, and implementation guides for policy and practice.
  • National Overdose Response Service (NORS): Co-founded and served as Board Director for Canada’s national peer-led virtual overdose monitoring service. Played a key role in governance development, research ethics, and national partnerships.

Proposal Writing & Business Development

  • Led and co-authored successful funding proposals totaling over $15 million from federal, provincial, and philanthropic sources.
  • Developed pitch decks, funding strategies, and RFP responses for equity-focused initiatives and harm reduction programs.
  • Created community-centered business development strategies for Brave Tech Co-op, including pricing and ethical growth plans.
  • Co-developed partnership proposals for cross-sector collaborations rooted in Indigenous governance, housing, and public health.
